Kara Guglielmo is a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with extensive experience in both psychiatric emergency and inpatient care settings. With a deep-rooted passion for mental health advocacy and patient-centered care, she is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients.

Kara's journey into psychiatric nursing began as an inpatient psychiatric nurse, providing her with invaluable insights into the complexities of mental illness and its profound impact on individuals and their families. She honed her skills in crisis intervention, medication management, and therapeutic communication during this time, laying the groundwork for her career in psychiatric nursing. Driven by a desire to broaden her impact, Kara pursued advanced education and training to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Armed with a Master's degree in Nursing from Walden University, she is equipped to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of psychiatric disorders across the lifespan.

Her tenure in psychiatric emergency settings has further sharpened her ability to manage acute crises with compassion and efficiency. She excels at conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for every patient.

Personal Interests:

Outside of work, Kara enjoys hiking, white water rafting, and indulging in art and music, which help her maintain a healthy work-life balance and replenish her passion for psychiatric nursing.

Current Location and Availability:

Kara offers in-person visits on Monday and Thursday at our Aurora Clinic location, and on Tuesdays at our Westminster location. She also provides telemedicine services for all of our clinic locations Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Her hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
